James Gunn Geeks Out Over Guardians of the Galaxy Toys and Lego Sets

While many of us are eagerly awaiting the broadcast of the first full-length Guardians of the Galaxy trailer on Jimmy Kimmel, some are more excited about the film’s toys and Lego sets. Enter James Gunn, the director / producer / script writer who is living a life that so many of us dream of. He has not only been the driving force behind a cosmic comic-book movie, but has now had a creative hand in the design of the Guardians of the Galaxy toys and Lego sets. Unable to hold his excitement, James Gunn shared on his Facebook page both promotional and public photographs of Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise featured at the 2014 Toy Fair:

Lego Star-Lord Milano Spacecraft
“Put my preorder in now!

Lego Star-Lord Milano spacecraft. So cool to see a ship I helped to invent and design come to life in Legos.”

Lego Guardians of the Galaxy Ronan and Star-Lord on his craft

“One more from the official Lego Guardians of the Galaxy setStar-Lord & Ronan on his craft.”

Rocket Racoon Large Action Figure

“Oh my gosh I’m so excited about all the #GotG toys being revealed at Toy Fair this weekend. Many of them I have seen before but some I haven’t. I can’t wait to get my hands on my own Korath and Sakaaran and Nova Starblaster. It may sound stupid but it has been a life’s dream to help create worlds that exist both on screen and in the hands of children and adults as toys… Okay – Rocket with a big ass gun -“

While it is believed that the remaining characters from Guardians of the Galaxy will feature as action figures, Pop! Vinyl Figurines and Lego sets, they will not be released until the 2nd and 3rd wave hit store shelves. However, fans on Facebook have revealed their disappointment that Yondu merchandise has not yet been revealed.
