It’s been quite a while since a documentary has generated as much buzz as Room 237 . Not only is the subject intriguing, the simple yet brilliant trailer has managed to capture the attention of regular movie goers.

The trailer for Room 237 is simple, but brilliant. I would go as far as to say that it is one of my favorite trailers of all time, but I wont go on about the trailer yet again!

Room 237 is a documentary about the theories surrounding the subtext of Stanley Kubrick’s classic horror The Shining. Despite it’s age (over 30 years old) it is still revered as one of cinema’s finest films and continue to spark debate, speculation and mystery.

Thankfully the trailer isn’t the best thing about Room 237 as it has been getting some brilliant reviews:

A celebration of Kubrick, The Shining and the thrill of watching, analyzing and loving film ***** – Empire
Rodney Ascher’s hugely enjoyable docu-collage of Shining theories embraces ambiguity but proves Kubrick’s deep chiller is worth the revisits **** – Total Film
Room 237 is a hilarious, terrifying and exhausting journey into the minds of people who think they’ve decoded Kubrick’s The Shining **** – Q Magazine

I can’t wait to check it out.
