WWE Raise Over $500,000 For Sandy Relief

Over the years they have been active particpants with Make A Wish and numerous anti-bullying campaigns. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the WWE established Superstars For Sandy Relief.

Superstars For Sandy Relief was an online auction to meet WWE Superstars and other celebreties. The auctions ran from March 25th to April 9th and set a new record on the charity fundraising website Charitybuzz.comSuperstars For Sandy Relief had a staggering 2,000 bids from 152 counties and raised $524,742.

Chairman of the WWE Vince McMahon commented:

“Superstars for Sandy Relief helped raise significant funds and awareness to support the people of New York and New Jersey who are still affected long after the devastating storm. I’m proud that WWE and its global fan base supported such an important initiative.”
